UNITY 2007
On Saturday, April 29th, the Council of Brooklyn Neighborhoods, in cooperation with the Hunter College Center for Community Planning and Development, co-sponsored the Unity 2007 Community Planning charette. The event was well attended, with more than 75 community members and urban planning professionals working together to envision challenges and opportunities for the nearby Brooklyn Neighborhoods in the development of the Vanderbilt Yards.
The attendees were divided into six different groups. At the end of the day each group briefly presented an overview of their discussions and recommendations. The detailed reports will be compiled into a summary report and released in mid-June. The final report will be available on this website in June, so stay tuned!
